Learn more about us
Windmill Pre-school stands for educational specialists, wholehearted commitment and comprehensive child care. Increasing demands are being made on child care facilities, since all parents want the very best for their children, right from their very first learning experiences. In addition, there is now a marked trend towards intellectual education for children, but still children also need to play, move, get enough exercise and discover their own bodies.
Our pre-school achieves both objectives by offering space for moving around, plenty of opportunity for play, a small library and various facilities for creative activity.
Our aim is to support each child through his or her own development.
We are registered GOOD with Ofsted. This is thanks to a very dedicated and hard working team. Our report is available to view online.
OUR NEXT OPEN DAY: March 2014 Date and time to be arranged.
Windmill Pre-school has been established since 1999. We are located at 2 Tresham Street, Kettering NN16 8RS.
We offer full day care 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
We are open all year round to help working parents in the school holidays. We are Ofsted registered for children between the age of 2 and 8 years and are also members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance. Our membership of the Pre School Learning Alliance ensures that we are constantly in touch with new thinking in the field of child care and education.
We can offer you excellent facilities for your child to mature and develop in a child oriented environment. As we register children from the age of 2 years, we do not require them to be toilet trained. All of our staff are CRB cleared so you can feel they are in safe hands when needing their nappies changed.
We have a wide range of equipment with which to extend your child's knowledge, experience and cultural awareness. The staff have a wealth and breadth of experience, which is backed by a
variety of qualifications in the childcare field.
We take the children out in our minibus on trips to the Organic Farm in Woodford and they also love their trip out Strawberry picking. We have daily trips to the park, shops and the local pet shop. At Christmas we try to fund a trip to the local pantomime.
Grant funding is available to children 3 years+ in the term following their 3rd birthday. Every child of this age is entitled to 15 hours per week for 38 weeks a year or 11 hours a week for 52 weeks a year. We are also registered to accept 2 year old children who are entilted to the government funding. Call in or ring anytime to register your child!

Your child's safety is of the utmost importance to us, you will be pleased to know that we have had installed by MMV Contracting Limited, a range of sophisticated security systems including CCTV, Access Control along with fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers. The CCTV covers the Pre-school both internally and externally whilst the access control system restricts access and exit, unless accompanied by a member of staff, all visitors even parents must be escorted in and out of the building.
We will shortly be upgrading some of the doors to incorporate Biometric Finger Access Control Technology, enhancing further the already high security.
